I am a photographer, filmmaker and visual story teller, currently based on the south coast of the United Kingdom.
On leaving University in 1996, and embarking on a decade long career in graphic design, animation and web development, I took a two year sabbatical travelling, working and conservation volunteering through the Pacific and Asia. On returning to the UK, inspired and brimming with a renewed purpose and drive, I decided to take a leap into a new direction with my first love, photography and film.
But where should he start? A degree in Ecology would lead me towards the natural world. A further degree in Human Geography and Politics fuels my passion for investigation, exposé and the documentary. Itchy feet, and a need for new experiences, also drives me towards further travel and adventure. Ultimately my love of design, patterns, and seeing the strange and beautiful in the world around us, is my ultimate inspiration.

what kit does liam use
Equipment doesn’t matter, it’s the image, the composition, the light, and the technique, that all matter in taking a photograph, or shooting a story. That’s all you ever hear. If it didn’t matter, then we’d all be still using box brownies and super 8mm. It’s almost obligatory these days to talk about what kit a photographer or camera operator uses.
